Traffic Shaping Freeware For Xp?

I need some traffic shaping software for my home LAN. We share an internet connection with two other computers in the house and there is never enough bandwidth. I can only find Linux solutions, everything for Windows costs money :(

  1. Robert J says:

There is a freeware product called Bandwidth Controller which is apparently quite good. The site says that it will do traffic shaping for 2000 & XP: http://bandwidthcontroller.com/traffic-shaping/traffic-shaping.html
The other solution which you mentioned already is to use an old PC as an internet gateway and run linux on that with Linux traffic shaping. See http://lartc.org
